Specimen is a tuber from the perennial Solanum tuberosum plant, Russet-Burbank cultivar. It is connected via zinc anode and copper cathode to the voltage comparator in an Arduino Ethernet. Ambient light is monitored using a CdS photo-cell, while potato visual is monitored using a JPEG serial camera.
