... an 'act of god', and airport closure due to storms.
Thus my flight from Seattle was diverted to Indianapolis, where I got to sit in a plane on a runway for a few hours, before being flown back to the newly storm-free Chicago. Only to have missed my connecting flight back to London.
It was either the Holiday Inn, or a bench at the airport terminal. This choice, it transpires, includes a HOLIDOME.
Behold the wonders of 1970s America!
I am honored that you would grace my worthless city with your divinity oh great one. Even if you didn't really have a choice
... I've decided I don't like Chicago.
Finally got back to Britain - minus suitcase, which is presently lost somewhere within Chicago airport's byzantine, labyrinthine baggage handling service.
Hooray!
So you're back! Yay!
Pity 'bout the luggage though...
Ok, Ill strap myself to the underside of a chopper and drop into the luggage area and retrieve it for you......Oh how I only wish
Back in Britain?
Shame... you should have toured the US! after all you don't start your new job till October, right?
At any rate, if you ever make it to the northeast US... particularly NYC or Philadelphia, let me know - i'll buy you a drink.
I heard that Radiohead may be ending their touring of the US, as they don't enjoy flying.
A friend offered to take me to see them on tuesday... perhaps i'll go.
