MINERVA - read-only archives

Post your Minerva screenshots here! Spoilers will be present, naturally.

You should use this tutorial if you don't know what to do, made by Adam Foster himself: Valve Developer Wiki: How To Take Screenshots

To sum it up: You'll need to enable the console. You can do this via Options -> Keyboard -> Advanced -> Enable Developer Console. You can open it in-game by pressing the tilde (~) key. First, use to enable cheats. Then, use to remove the HUD, to remove the weapon and crosshair, to fly freely through the map, to become invisible in the eyes of your enemies and last but not least to become invulnerable to damage. For better quality, bind a key to the screenshot command. For example, Don't use the screenshot command directly from the console, since the command captures exactly what is displayed on the screen at the moment.





Here are two I took today. The first one replaced my Portal wallpaper:

• Angled Bridges Room
• The Portal has opened

Heh ... that looks even cooler than it did on my humble laptop (with textures on "medium" and I think shaders on "low"), although for some reason, what's on the other side of the portal looks a bit less distinct than on my machine.

As the portal opened, I mostly remember saying "ohfuckohfuckohfuckohfuckohfuckohfuck..."

Whats a good free screen cap program?

The 'F5' key.

(Alternatively, if you'd prefer TGA images to be saved in the mod's screenshots directory instead of JPEGs, try 'bind f5 screenshot' in the console...)

And now I feel like an idiot. Which, to be honest, doesn't feel much different from usual.

Edit: Now I realise that the question I should really be asking is how to remove the HUD and whatnot. I'm sure it's a very noobish question but frankly, I am a noob

Here they are. I know 14 is a lot, but it's been cut back from 31. I basically just hammered the screenshot key whenever I thought "Oooh pretty". Which is a lot in MINERVA
