Title says it all really. Played the earlier chapters on my vanilla Half-Life 2 install no problem, so just curious as to what mandates the Episode 1 requirement for the latest release. |

I believe that some of the resources offered by EP1 were too tempting not to be used. The zombine, the improved A.I. and quite a few other bits are just sitting there in episode 1 shared.gcf and in other gcf's. |
