Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to pose this question.
I installed Metastasis but it does not show up in the list of games within Steam. I am unable to launch from Steam or from the desktop (which is apparently not recommended anyway).
I Have:
- a valid (paid for) install of HL2 EP1. - followed the install and troubleshooting steps found here. - searched this forum and the internet, to the best of my abilities, and found no reference to my particular trouble.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
JJ

This is really odd. Tried restarting Steam and ran Ep1 at least once? Try and add to the Ep1 launch options:
-game "[PATH_TO_STEAM]/SteamApps/SourceMods/MetaStasis/", then Ep1 should turn into Metastasis when launched.

Thanks for the suggestions, sortie, but so far no improvement.
I also have the mods ""Get a Life, Strider, Awakening and Week Day Warrior" installed. Any chance that they might cause conflicts?
I have un-installed and removed all traces of Metastasis before re-installing.
Unless someone has any further ideas I guess the next step is to uninstall the other mods, then HL2, then Steam and see if a fresh install will help. Here's hoping someone saves the day before I get radical.
Thanks again for any help people can offer.

Mods are designed not to affect eachother, unless they do some crazy shit I've been developing for my mod. If MINERVA: Metastasis doesn't turn up in the games list, the install is probably corrupt. I'd redownload MINERVA and then reinstall it. Ensure the Metastasis folder is located inside Steam/SteamApps/SourceMods/, and a gameinfo.txt is there. Try and post it here?
Once it is installed, run Ep1. Then try and go to Start->Run and enter the following, edited to match your installation.
"[Path To Steam]\Steam\SteamApps\[Steam Account Name]\half-life 2 episode one\hl2.exe" -game "[Path To Steam]\steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\Metastasis"
This should override any Steam Lists and such. If it doesn't work, then your install is either missing, corrupted, or you entered the wrong path.

Or the md5 hasj of the installer you're using? (use and point it at your metastasis_patched.exe). You should have the following hash: 05CD8D5D134E53939997201CD8D7AFF7 If not then download again.
