Do not attempt to run the latest metastasis from the desktop icon that can be put there in setup. The maps will launch in HL2 for some weird reason, and the level design will be completely whacked. Ragdolls and grenades will fall through displacements, etc. Anyone know why the icon does that though? It's a head scratcher to me... [edit: sensible title inserted and all caps shouting removed] |

I've heard from someone else that the desktop icon may be dodgy. Post the contents of the link's command-line doodah, and see what it says. (For reference, one of my known-safe map-starting thingies starts with an '-applaunch 380', 380 being Episode One's ID thingy.) |
