I finally got it to run on Linux/Wine (took maybe ten tries just to start) and played it in one go. Words like "awesome" and "delicious" come to mind. Easily the best single-player mod I know.

I'm currently exploring a simpler way to run M:M on Linux.
The playonlinux project is a GUI and script add-on for Wine and the results are encouraging. I'm hoping to post a walkthrough when I get M:M running on Ubuntu 7.10.

If you have tried something similar, post your tips and queries here. If you are feep (quoted above), I'd love to read what you did.
