Thanks a lot for the forum, master!!
We, the acolytes now have a meeting place to conduct ceremonial sacrifices to our matron mother, Minerva!!
PS: I always wanted to post the following information concerning Episode One on a forum; now's my chance:
Just another thing I noticed about Episode One: In the chamber where you see a recording from Dr. Breen's final communication with the Combine Advisor, when the pod slides under the floor, I am pretty sure I didn't see the "rune ring" there is on the Advisor... Does that indicate that the creatures with the mind-blast attack are actually not Combine Advisors but other Combine creatures, lower in hierarchy?
Also, is there a complete list of Advisor sightings during Episode One somewhere? It's like G-Man sightings, but different. :p

Props to Minerva, but no sacrificing from me.

You dare defy your master's whims? That's unheard of.
But we've been expecting this. Some acolytes do not wish to sacrifice other people, they’ll get their wish. Unfortunately, they will become sacrifices themselves! [evil laughter]
In all seriousness now:
Adam, thank you for the best single player mod this one has ever played! Keep up the good work!

The master?
What, that figment of someone's imagination?
It's my domain here. My very own playground on this pathetic little network of yours. (Twenty minutes until timeout? That'll hardly cope with interstellar communications, will it?)
And, because all bad things must come to an end, I've insisted on a time limit.
The rules for this digital sandbox? Well, one - the end of the world is imminent. I like it when destruction is inevitable.
A friend of a friend.

Peons.
You lavish with praise the incomprehensible. You grovel to the brazened. You run with its Lunacy and strive to appease an affliction you know nothing of.
You cater to its every capricious whim, the only sense in your enthralled life, prompted by its every manic thought, affixed to your bound mind's eye.
Little matter, so long as there are number of you aplenty, fledgling sparks from a New World's flint.
One good blow deserves another.

We really should start discussing and speculating about Half-Life 2 and Minerva, because there really is no time!

Wouldn't that be against your natural human instincts?

Yeah, probably. But I don't seem to have an instinct for self preservation. *Shrugs*
