Damn strait we are. Blessed, and yet also cursed. What cruel God renders a cheesemaker lactose-intolerant?

Now you are just being mean.
It's not nice to mock the afflicted.
*eyes longingly the potted cheshire cheese she made*

The cheese of the horsemen is crumbly with an edge of salt. It is curdled by MINERVA herself.

One that is very wise. Like this you won't "sample" your product and there'll be cheese for all who actually want it. You get the pleasure of creating and giving, seeing the fruits of your labour appreciated by all. You bring happiness to those who like cheese. What more could you want?

It really doesn't work like that. You manage quite a long time, but eventually give in to the cheese and make yourself very ill. Eventually the cheese become a kind of self torture. You can't resist, but you know it will cause you pain. Eating it is almost a pleasurable torment.

I am surrounded by rats
in a very dark place
but the light is coming
and when it is gone
only I will remain.
Oh how it is wished
that the thing which I am
were in the possession of...
some semblance of self-concept.
and there is is again
gone.

Such is the punishment of those who give in to temptation. To truely be looked favourably upon, you must have self-control. Do not lapse. There is no compromise. You must be stronger than that.
Just rewards come to those that deserve them.

Probably not. It's more likely just a device to stop the cheese maker eating all the blessed cheese themselves, thus ensuring some for the masses.
