Au contraire. It isn't that common to find a group of 7-8 people on the same forum who all actually know each other in real life, not just on the Internet. Your situation is more the exception than the rule.

There goes my attempt to be a bit metaphorical. The third veil is Minerva's third chapter and the question pertains to its contents, as you imagine them.

I didn't mean to ruin your metaphorical statement, I am just a fairly literal person. So forgive me if I ask a lot of questions and feel as though I see no answers being given, when in fact the "answer" lies in your metaphor that I have not detected.

Be that as it may, Adam Foster has stated that the Horsemen are a group of his friends. It is thus to be expected that they all know each other.

Shall we speculate some more?

Though no where has it been said we know each other in real life...though we may. The curry house in Rusholme was before my time. (I believe)

What about a real life gathering of horsemen and acolytes somewhere central* and suitably equipped with skulls and beer and post-industrial decor?
In the background, I hear Minerva's most patronising messages in a loop (voiced by a speech engine), while the walls would be covered by video clips of the camera following the orbital downlink deep down under the island and of course, we'd get smashed and dance to a remix of Minerva Absconditus by Too Many DJs and ... I'll stop here.

*Brussels or Warsaw Central rather than NY Grand Central.

Adam stated in his blog that the horsemen were friends of his from real life (hence the 7 to 8, not just 8). Although you were not expressly included in that statement (given below), parm didn't say he didn't know you either. It seems that the inference is that he did somehow know you outside of this forum. But enough bantering about it. You are here, regardless of how you arrived, etc. Welcome to the Minerva forum. (I know, I know, I'm going softy on you :) )

'Somewhere Else' can be...awkward to define succinctly.

But thank-you for the welcome.

I would imagine he meant Somplace Else, which is trivial to define.

Why of course how could I forget! That's obviously that's where I'm from! My alien ways must have revealed me!

Somewhere Else is, in the case of yours oppressively, Dublin, Brussels, and Warsaw (and that's in the course of 2006).

A curious choice of places to link to...an excerpt from Adam's unfinished novella. Not that you'll explain it thoroughly, but how does that tie in to Brussels?

I'd love a trip to Brussels, if only because I have a certain... penchant for Belgian beer, and the little shop down the road from me that sells it has an absurd markup.

Mmmm, Oud Beersel Kriek. Best beer in the world, bar none.
