The point where you have to grenade the four ports took me a bit, because my first conclusion was to get them to all be "orange" at once. Only after that did I figure out the key was to grenade them twice.

I also did exactly this. My favourite though, of course, was the spanner.

No puzzle really had me tripped up for very long. Though I did waste a lot of time with the last puzzle of 'Depth Charge' (At least I'm pretty sure Depth Charge ends with the explosion). But I always waste time whenever I get infinite grenades.

I didn't realize it until just now, with the echoes of Gabe Newell commentary sounding in my head, that there actually was training for the larger puzzles that occurred in hazardous environments. The pressure puzzle starts off with one valve which can be turned at the player's discretion in a safe room and quickly moves to a very dangerous room and multiple valves.

I really prefer this to puzzle training in HL2 because it pushes the limits of what the player can comprehend more than Valve wants to, or feels is necessary. But I always found HL2 puzzles a little boring because of that. But the Minerva puzzles were very refreshing because of the time threats put upon the player to complete them.

So, YAY Minerva for creating wonderful puzzles and I hope to see more. It's more interesting when there's no gravity gun to make things super easy.

I got stuck in most of the places mentioned - often I could see what had to be done but it took a while to work out the weapon (usually a grenade) to be used. The dropped item to close the portal only took me a while but the buffers and pressure problems did take what seemed a long time to work out. To be honest I like a challenge, but not to be driven to despair. This is my only real criticism of the entire mod and it has to be borne in mind that Valve avoids these problems by extensive play testing, while Minerva is being done on a shoestring. It is simply the best single player mod for HL2 by some margin. Many thanks and I look forward to more.

That long unarmed portion of Metastasis 3 was pretty intense and had plenty of "oh snap" moments, but the camera forcefield puzzle took the longest time for me to figure out! I was at it for quite awhile. The other one was the crate in the core puzzle because I thought I was supposed to catch the crate before it fell and then I'd get a nice gun to use on it, so I managed to get the crate but I just couldn't figure out what to do until I fell in it and died, then I figured it out. Silly me ;)

The part I had the hardest time with was probably the aforementioned valve puzzle. I ran all over God's green earth trying to find my way around that Combine forcefield without cheating before I finally figured it out. Drove me nuts for a bit!
