We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

that includes cats lol. After all, what military is complete without the best covert weapon available

Seeing a LOL CATS version of the Half-Life games would have to be interesting I would say

Occassions that come to mind are Kleiner starting to read the entire manual to the improved HEV when the CP are looking for Gordon, Kleiner stopping to search for Heddy when they need to escape his lab, Kleiner getting all excited at discovering the Borealis. I was entirely with Eli on the idea of leaving it well alone - sounds far too dangerous.

It's so easy for Izzy to slip into thinking of everything in theoretical and removed terms. And it's that ability to miss the general human effect or more subtle outcomes of events that worries me. I'm far more comfortable putting my life into Eli and Alyx's hands and trusting their instincts.

I think I see what you're saying now. It's not that you don't trust his veracity, you just don't think he is a capable leader of the resistance...

Not to mention the rather... rough Kleiner-cast in Episode One...

Something like that. At least not in his current role - Kleiner is more suited to planning long-term rebuilding and resistance aims and to working on crucial science projects like the teleporters and satellite. His strengths are NOT in planning the minutae of combat and other immediate and short-term objectives.

Not that he needs to be able to do that kind of stuff. Alyx, Barney and a few nameless resistance members have shown and continue to show enormous talent in this area.

That reminds me, I hope to see a better variety in the rebels for episode 3. Both in looks and combat abilities. Example, You come across a room of rebels hiding from the combine, theres a small stockpile of weapons on the floor, and you could maybe pickup a rocket launcher and hand it to said rebel, and a combine pulse rifle for young Jimmy there, maybe some grenades for Suzy. If not being able to assign weapons then have more variety in weapons that rebels carry. Also a little more competence in battle never hurt anyones AI either. *wink wink*

edit: I forgot to even mention. I wouldn't mind having a nice long battle segment with Barney, maybe he could be leading a whole squad with you. *cough* CO-OP *cough*

I wish I made games :(

My idea has been moved to the "What would a bored alcolyte do?" thread. Sorry for the mispost!

I'm a fan of anything that brings Sheppard back into the fray. Like yourself, I have plenty of Ideas for mods, bu making them is just so damn hard

I want to see the player be able to use the SLAM from HL2DM in Ep3, and perhaps the hopwire grenade too. (Hopwire in particular- think of what kind of traps could be made in the cramped quarters of the Borealis...)

I always wondered why those were in DM and not Single Player

FLASH: I had a revelation.

Gordan Freeman, "Some what" under GMans control.
UNTILL!
He is freed from GMan by the Vorts at the beginning of Ep1

Adrian Sheppard, In Stasis, at GMans whim.

Methinks I have discovered the premise for a reason to resurect Sheppard.....

Somone get me a writers job at Valve :)

You mean for the Gman to send Shepard after Freeman as a power play?

...Clever.

Well I mean it makes sense. Gordan is Free, GMan wants him back, That was Sheppards original mission and he didn't do too bad. Even if he isnt a playble character, fighting an NPC that is equivalent to Gordan, It could make for a nice long firefight

Or if Sheppard were stalking you kind of like the Nemesis in Resident Evil 3, busting down walls and chasing you down to kill you at the most inconvinient times.

Eh, I dunno ... I think Shepard's popular enough that a lot of players wouldn't want to actually kill him.
