That's actually what I implied in the scenario above. Plus a mod such as that would mostly be mapping intensive, perhaps a few lines for Gman and a Gordon model, but other than that could be original content sans replacing the hands on the weapons.

Oh yeah, that was part of my idea for my aforementioned single-player mod: Gordon disappears in Nova Prospekt, and you're given "one week in which to reduce City 17 to irreconcilable chaos" and asked to fire "the shot heard round the world" (by a character who acts stereotypically British, with a thicker BBC English accent than Odessa Cubbage; his name is Norman Allman, to give a pun on "no man, all man").
