Just watched "Diary Of The Dead" from George A. Romero. While it was entertaining as a zombie film, don't expect anything new except the Blair Witch/Cloverfield type camera work |

Iron Man was a pretty good movie. It was a good movie, but not super-ultra-fantastic as movie plots go...but that suit...I want one! |

Iron Man indeed. Excellent movie, I can't wait for the sequel. Still also looking forward to Dark Knight |

Iron Man was a great movie, but what I really liked was all the technology. Instant real-time translation, pocket-sized power generators with no by-products (what conservation of energy law?), AI, holographics, directed energy weapons, automated construction, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and more. Awesome work, they had a great imagination. |

I think thats what really makes Iron Man a better super hero, is just that. No miracle super powers just his brains and his money. Same with Batman |

I've just been inspired to come up with a list of my favorite movies. Not sure why, these things just happen I guess. I was thinking top 5, so I started coming up with names, but I just absolutely can't eliminate any after 7. So here it is, my 7 favorite movies, in no particular order. Unforgiven 2001 Big Fish Shawshank Redemption Trainspotting Almost Famous The Shining I think that about does it. I could go on, but those sit at the top for me. Anyone think they can do better? |

Oh yeah, I saw Shawshank Redemption. The only Stephen King thing I've ever encountered that didn't have some sort of supernatural element. ;) And I only know Unforgiven because it was used in an Animaniacs song which used movie names in context. "Eva Joined with Zsa Zsa and they formed a Sister Act, But both were Unforgiven because neither one could act!" |

Lets see now, my memory's rubbish so this will be an incomplete list: Shaun of the Dead Amélie Monty Python and the Holy Grail (or just about any other Monty Python) Casino Royal (I think I'm the only one of my friends who likes this much) Hemia Sin City Easy Rider Office Space etc. in fact I'm more shocked at the the lack of films that I can remember :( |

Some other good choices up here now I'd say. If I was to expand my list by 2 or 3 I'd probably include the Holy Grail. So many classic moments. Office Space was brilliant too, though it would've been so much better if they'd just skipped the requisite love story and gotten rid of Jennifer Aniston altogether. (Michael Bolton = best character ever!) And I was half drunk while watching Amelie and thus had a very hard time keeping up with the subtitles. I didn't know what the hell was going on. I'll have to check it out again though. As well as Casino Royale (newer one I suppose?), haven't seen it yet, though I'll check it out. Trenchfeeder; action movie fan are we? I think my favorite action movie is Die Hard 3, that was a lot of fun. I'm not normally a big fan of action movies, though I did very much like the Bourne series. But the car chases.. ugh.. I'm so damn tired of car chases in movies. If I'm watching on DVD I usually just skip to the big crash at the end and get it done with. And I've never actually seen Saving Private Ryan either, I'll have to see that. Cheers! Edit: scratch what I said earlier, Desperado is my favorite action movie. That one also could get added to my list. |
