I'm having a bit of trouble figuring something out ... See, I'm working on a map which takes place on a space station inside a nebula. There are two very bright light sources in the skybox, in roughly opposite directions. The problem lies in the fact that vrad isn't built to have more than one . (This would also mean that, in Source 2007, there'd be two shadows in opposite directions.) Is there no real solution to this, short of adjusting the skybox so that there's only one major light source?

You could reprogram VRad if you get the newest Source Code from the Create a Mod wizard. Of course you'll need mapping skills, but it sounds like you only need to make support for an array of light_environments (which would take some time to make work, but it's simple).
Otherwise you can just use point_spot lights from a great distance to achieve the parralax effect of sunlight, but it won't be the same, but close'ish.

Ah well ... I've already started working on the map with a different skybox, heh ... I'm taking Adam's philosophy of "do what you can, and work around what you can't."

Haha, that's just the general philosophy of modding.

Yeah, but it'd be nice if more modders knew this ...
