Some great shots from Adam...judging by those photos it appears that City 44 will be quite a dilapidated place. I thought that his silence regarding the photos was a bit unusual. We usually hear something from him when he posts a new article on the blog...

I suspect he wanted to get a "pure" reaction to the photos.

I was kinda thinking the same thing...didn't just want us echoing his remarks.
On another note: Is this subforum set up for discussing the next installment of MINERVA or what?

It's hard to discuss the next chapter of MINERVA with so little to go on...We need to collect all of the info we know so far and then move forward. Where's Terrapin when you need him? :)

Myself and a few others spent some quality (drinking) time with our esteemed cult leader this weekend and learned some very exciting things about the next installment of Minerva.
I can exclusively reveal, for example, that Adam is quite tall.

Well as they say a picture is worth a 1,000 words...

And he appears able to charm even the mischievous Phouka into bestowing favour.

At last Kate makes her reappearance...your witty banter has been missing for sometime...

From Adam's recent interview with PlanetPhillip, we now know that he will certainly be using Episode 2 assets in the game as he said there would be Hunters. In the snow. But in Adam's usual style, he gives away very little...very, very little.

As for my speculations-
-City 44 might be near the Borealis?
-Tie in this with a nearby port at City 44, with a crew of rebels living on a cargo ship (wanna call the outfit "The Cargo Cult," anyone? [/baaad pun])
-Let's get some use out of ep2's Hot rod, only skinned for snow
-Hunters and Soldiers working together, the soldiers will sack an apartment building by sending in the hunters to flush out rebels, then massacre them in the streets
-How does the place beyond the portal tie in to this
-More elaboration on who/what Minerva herself is, as well as her penultimate goal in the grander scheme of things
-And hopefully a large nonlinear space to work with
-Physics traps (let's make an avalanche and take down a strider!)
I bet only about 33% of that list will make the final cut, but I can speculate, can't I?
EDIT: More that came to mind, that part in Depth Charge with the portal? What confused me was that the combine dropships were coming back from it. My theory is that they were somehow on the run from something out there. Otherwise I'd think it would make more sense if the dropships went in to the portal. [Kleiner voice] This suggests an entirely new line of investigation! [/Kleiner voice]

I think you mean "ultimate." "Penultimate" means second-to-last.
As for the dropships leaving the portal, why wouldn't they just have been returning from, say, a scouting mission? It's not like the dropships would go there and then stay there forever.

No, no, "penultimate" is the right word. Like this: Quote: 1. Infiltrate and observe suspicious Combine outpost. 2. Destroy outpost to keep Combine out of alternate dimension. 3. ???????? 4. Profit!!! As for drop-ships: or they could be bringing back something they found there (whether we're talking Artifacts or just Combine psychic archeologist worms). And yes, I am aware that this discussion is four months old. So what?
