But that's evil! Now I have to make some kind of logical-bit-and program that allocates a buffer and saves it to a file. And I'm supposed be doing my assignment for 2 hours from now and I don't have time the whole weekend.
Thanks!

I broke the posting format here too. Wow, this is hilarious.
In any case, for the second part of the code, you should be looking to the past for suggestions. Particularly the Axis in WWII.

Luckily, after a billion mistakes, my binary-to-octet-to-.txt file routine succeded.
Figuring out what the hell to do then was crazy. Let's just see how far Kenny's hint goes!

I'm working on it... I initially converted it to text using various methods and was depressed at the lack of any workds magically forming. However, as soon as I read that clue it hit my that I was looking for the wrong letter pattern. :P Time to resume bashing my head against this one.
EDIT: It's been over an hour now. I've recognized what I need to do and I'm starting to analyze it. Will report back.

I'll supply the same hint here as I did on type3:
In the film "Dr. Strangelove" you'll find the right prefix for the engima machine, in one of the bomber scenes.

Ah, that was simple. Now to find that code and figure out where I installed my Enigma Simulator. `''
