Alright, I've released my first Portal map "Claustrophobia". I'd be happy if you took the time to try it out, offer some feedback, etc. :)

Lovely romp through the Labs. I cheated once to jump up to the last cube, as I couldn't get the angle right to create the second portal. Nice one on the last trap: fast thinking absolutely required. How long have you been working on the map?

It's been sort of an on-again/off-again project since near the end of last summer. I had originally intended to release it, but I decided to make it a bit larger first. That quickly got out of hand, so I was left with a sprawling chamber easily twice the size of a standard one. As a result, I decided to cut it down into two seperate levels and release them individually. I'm going to release the second part later in summer. I had to discard the unfinished puzzle I was working on towards the end of the "super-map". The flow of the second level works quite well without it.

Yeah that was quite good, cheers!
In the "awesome" category: I loved it when I completed one objective and rather than some door opening, (*um, like, spoilers ho*) the roof went up! That was great.
In the "you need dumber playtesters like me" category: In that part where there was that glowing red thing that we had to direct that energy ball into; the first time I got to it I hadn't yet realized what I was supposed to do so I ran up to it and got trapped when the door came down behind me. It was dark. I got scared! (also at the beginning, when I came back through a portal after getting the cube, the turrets had set themselves back up again, after I had knocked them down earlier.)
I also liked the fact that it wasn't absurdly hard, I thought it had just the right difficulty curve, with just the right sort of puzzles, especially towards the end. Again, great job!

Thanks! Darn it, I thought I had gotten all the ways for people to trap themselves in my map out. I spent hours trying to break my areas. :P I guess I'll have to add a brush that keeps people out of there or something.
