call me whatever you like, honestly,
but it is odd to me that this would happen...
...and that no one would come forth about it. should i be sensing a plot against myself, or do i jump to that conclusion too easily?

You have absolutely nothing to worry about, Vecima. We'll take care of everything.

How much "bandwidth" does Minerva get to use? She is supposedly in a remote location, trying to avoid detection by the Combine while hacking their system and following the progress of her minion.
It is safe to assume that the messages are sent encrypted and compressed and are decrypted by the suit.
For technical and security reasons, voice is not the optimal way to send quips and highly sensitive information to your agent.
And yes, the coding of the triggers is very elegant. I hope another team of modmakers will find the time to update their mod, so the hearing impaired and the non-English gamers get to enjoy a very well-designed SP mod.

The greatest difficulty with voice-acting for mods is, other than finding half-decent voice actors, is that very few people have access to adequate microphones, sound software and recording locations.
You can't just grab a £5 mic and sit in your bedroom/computer room. The recording quality is, honestly, crap and the acoustics are nothing more to speak of.

I say it's worth the effort, since there's nothing to lose.

i agree with Adam in that i'd rather continue to imagine Minerva's voice, if she has one.
If a poor actress came in to do her voice, I'd be hearing that voice for the rest of the series even if i turned it off.

I always hear in my mind for the voice of Minerva some cross between SHODAN and [insert sexy actress with silky smooth voice here]. If She didn't sound at least a bit sexy how would you get a metro cop to leave everything behind and be your personal soldier against the Combine?
