So I started playing Depth Charge (I've played the first two missions several times previously before reinstalling HL2 on this PC) and got a decent bit into it, I thin--I believe the current mission is the second time I go into the lift, where I'm tasked with shutting down the dampeners after fighting my way back across the weapons point., I hit both green switches to open up the shields and then quit out to eat dinner. I saved upon quitting.
Now, restarting Minerva via the desktop shortcut starts the game fine and the levels, but the saves cause a crash. Starting the mod through the Steam menu loads in the saves, but the AI is disabled and enemies stand around (also, I can't seem to destory the dampeners with grenades which is what I suspect is the objective given their infinite supply from the nearby crate).
Having said alll that, what I initially played of the game was outstnading and I can't wait to finish and start the next yearlong wait for more.
Any recommendations? I don't want to restart the level only to lose my progress at the same point. If the next sequence is immediately the next level, that will be fine too but I doubt it.
