 Post subject: Installing "Someplace Else"

I honestly can't figure out how to play this. I own Half-Life on CD, but currently have it installed via Steam. I tried adding Someplace Else to the Steam area, but under Steamapps, Half-life was not listed. I tried putting it in the C:\Sierra location of Half-Life, but when I start up Half-Life there is no "custom games" option. Any ideas?

Unfortunately Someplace Else is not compatible with steam. Don't quote me here, but I do believe it will ONLY work, with the OLD NON STEAM version of Half Life. I too crave to play it, but I cant find my original HL disk.

Is the Half Life that you linked the same as "Half Life:Source"? I have that, but if it is different I will certainly be buying it.

Half Life: Source is built on the Source engine, the same engine that powers HL2. To play Someplace Else, you need the good old Half-Life.

Thanks much. Unfortunately, I'm at college and I left my Half-Life CD at home (thinking I wouldn't need it due to Steam) so I'll have to wait till after winter break to fetch the thing. Will play it then. Thanks!
